Christ's Sufficiency in me
Subtitle:
|
How to live in peace. If you have peace, you know that it is worth everything to maintain. If you don't have peace, then you know it is worth everything to gain. True peace does not come from anything this world can provide. That is because everything in this world is temporary. The older I get the more I realize this fact. And it can be very depressing as we see things we subconsciously assumed were "permanent" roll away and out of our reach. Day after day it seems we face things that are beyond our means to control. And this is very disconcerting. But let me tell you something I have learned: However this world got in the state it is in, it is all about HIS Plan to show us how to cope with any and every bump in the road, no matter how small or large. Read the subtitle above. It is a bumper-sticker from long ago. And how pertinent to today's study. The simplest answer is that the more we grow to trust JESUS, the more peace we release in our lives. As we
grow in CHRIST. we must learn to trust in HIS Sufficiency in us. The verse that says, "I can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens me" does not come as a free "drop in" to our lives. We learn to trust the LORD as we . . . . trust the LORD. One step at a time, one day at a time, one foot after the other in our walk with HIM. Make today an adventure of trusting the only being in the universe that is totally worthy of being trusted. And that would be . . . JESUS!
