Philippians 4:12-13
(New Living Translation)

"I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.  For I can do everything with the help of CHRIST who gives me the strength I need."

Christ's Sufficiency in me

No JESUS - No Peace
Know Jesus - Know Peace

Peace in our lives comes when we have the confidence that we can handle anything and everything that comes our way.  Do you have that?  Doubtfully that you or anyone, except the self-deluded, have that total confidence.

Have you ever found yourself saying, "I just can't handle this!"  Sometimes huge events come at us and other times many small events creep up on us until we feel we are lost and out of control.

One of the greatest parts of the salvation that comes through faith in JESUS as LORD and SAVIOR is that HE actually comes to live in us!  Sure we know that, if we have heard the message.  But do we really understand that the ALL SUFFICIENT ONE is resident in us?

HE lives here for many reasons, but one great reason is that we can rely on HIM in the hard times.  In fact, we can rely on HIM in the easy times.  The Apostle Paul wrote that he has learned to function in times of need and abundance.

Actually, if you read all of Paul's writings, you see that he learned to go through the good times by learning to go through the hard times.  Paul was persecuted, stoned and left for dead, beaten with whips, hated, and on and on.

It wasn't long before Paul realized in these hard times, that CHRIST was his Sufficiency.  HE is more than enough.  HE is EL SHADDAI.   HE is the GOD that is more than enough.

So, we must learn to lean on our inner sufficiency (which is CHRIST in us, the hope of glory) in all times of our lives.  The real training comes in times of trial.  So rejoice today in hard times and learn to lean on JESUS
