Grace - (23)
Christianity's Distinguishing Force

Romans 6:14
For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.

And there it is.  Sin shall not be your master.  And, why?  Because we are under Grace, not under the Law.  Let me explain.

Everyone is under the Law until they find CHRIST as SAVIOR.  Actually, one of the purposes of the Law of GOD is to drive people with conscience to the LORD.  The Law brings out our failings and fallings, and we realize we need a SAVIOR.

Thank GOD for HIS Law, because it made me seek JESUS!  But, now that I have found HIM, I am no longer under the Law, but Grace.  Where the Law pushed me to GOD, the new effect of Grace is to draw me to HIM.

Through Grace, HE is able to enter my life, fellowship with me and lead me in a Path of Righteousness.  This is something that the Law could not do (and wasn't designed to do).

No, I am far from perfect.  So are you, I am sure.  But, our slow but steady progression of growth will lead us over time to a life that is far better than the one we were busy forging before Grace entered our realm.
