Corinthians 1:3
Grace and peace to
you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Not just another great salutation! Paul is bestowing on the Corinthian Church the Gifts of Grace and Peace. Paul was a man who did not waste words, if you read the rest of his writings.
Do we do this enough for one another? When we see our brothers and sisters, how do we feel? Are we overly concerned with appearance? Are we letting past difficulties dominate our thoughts?
When we see or talk to others who name the Name of JESUS, we have the opportunity to bless them. Yes, really, we do. If we place ourselves in the right frame of mind, we can bestow GOD'S Grace, Peace, Love, Mercy and more.
Realize that this is what can be so good about the church meeting together. We come with gifts to give and room to receive. But this is not limited to the meetings. The same is true in a more casual setting.
It is good for brothers and sisters to get together! We need each other. We bless each other!
