Grace - (52)

Galatians 2:21
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

Grace is a gift - Works is a reward.  The two do not go together.  Much like oil and water, living by Grace does not mix with living by works.

Let me define works as living as though we can earn our way to GOD.  We live as if HE will accept us if we please HIM in some way or another.  Although this attitude appeals to our fallen nature, nothing could be further from the truth.

We are not pleasing to HIM when we turn our backs on HIS Way and follow our own way.  Yet, that is what we so often do.

The Truth is that even our best deeds cannot make up for sin.  The Truth is that when we come to HIM by the only way that's True, we cannot be lost, we cannot lose HIS love and favor.  

The True way is, was and will always be accepting JESUS and HIS finished work on the cross.  There is no other way.

And I promise you this - HE didn't die for nothing!

HE died for you!
