Knock - Knock - Who's there
(Part 1)

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear MY voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20

JESUS is amazing.  When I started writing this Article, I was thinking of writing about how JESUS made a door for us to enter, that leads to the Holy Place of GOD, and how wonderful it is that there is a door there that we can walk through and . . . and . . . and . . .

But wait!  While that is an awesome truth, that is not what this verse is about at all.  It's not about us trying to get through GOD'S door . . .  It's about JESUS trying to get through OUR door!

And I don't think this is only about a first time salvation.  I think JESUS is at that door more than once in our lives.  In fact, HE is at that door every time we push HIM out.  "Why would we do that," you might ask.  I am not sure why we do, but we do!

Too busy, too fearful, too self-righteous, too guilty, too ___________ (fill in your own reason).

I will be forthright with you.  When I get done writing, I am going to go open the door and let HIM back in.  Recently, I have been too busy recovering from work, fretting about finances,, taking care of day-to-day responsibilities and the list goes on.

Is your life too hard?  Well, maybe you are carrying more of the load than you should.  JESUS says HIS burden is light.  Light is good.  If your burden is heavy, try giving yours to HIM and taking HIS.

JESUS, I open the door to you.  Go ahead and say it.  Out loud.  HE just wants to come in and have dinner with us.  How harmless is that?  We will talk about that part tomorrow, but for now, just open the door.  HE promises to come in.  Take some time with HIM and let HIM have HIS way.
