Knock - Knock - Who's there
(Part 2)

Right smack dab in the middle of one of the most hard-hitting - Awe Inspiring books in the New Testament, JESUS says HE would like to come in and have dinner with us.
Think about that . . . . This, my friend, is code to the believer. JESUS pauses in HIS Revelation of HIMSELF and says, in effect, "My Beloved. Just let me in to your life, and while all the horrific events of this book take place, we will have some dinner together!"
My paraphrase, of course, but I think it is to the heart of this Word. The results of sin in this world bring about the hard parts of our lives and also the events coming when the KING returns to reclaim it for HIMSELF. What great comfort it is that JESUS shows HIMSELF to be gentle and friendly with HIS loved ones.
HE just wants to come in and have a bite of food. The visual here is that we should take down our walls, remove our defenses and let HIM in!
HE longs for our fellowship and friendship. We tend to be like the Israelites at the mountain, not wanting to face the Awesome GOD. "Send Moses . . . "
But, that is the trap the enemy wants us in. We are to have a very healthy respect for HIM, but to fear HIS Presence in our lives is totally unacceptable and leads to stress beyond belief!
So, again, open the door and let JESUS in for love, friendship, fellowship and support to all you do!
