E-Votion the
Beatitudes - being blessed

God blesses those whose hearts are pure,
for
they will see God. Deep down in side us
there is a thing called a heart. Not the organ that pumps blood. It is
also the place where we say we have a "gut feeling." The old way of
describing it was similar. One used to be said to have "bowels of
compassion." The truth is that we have
three aspects to our lives: Body - Soul - Spirit. When we are born the
body is fully alive, the soul is under development and the spirit is - well, for
want of a better word, dead. When we come
to know JESUS, the spirit becomes alive and is
said to be born again. In the depth of every born-again Christian is a
living spirit. This is the real you! The
spirit receives input from the body (flesh) and the soul (mind). This is my
opinion from all that I have learned and read and studied. Your body and soul
are not pure and never will be. But your heart is! There is a war going
on inside you that never stops. Your flesh
and mind are warring against your spirit (heart) to take control. We see
examples of this all around us. Those controlled by the flesh indulge in all
sorts of depravity. And why not? You know the motto - "If it feels
good - do it!" Control by the mind
again leads to error - All false beliefs, including atheism, come from the
un-regenerated mind being in control. But
deep inside us, we are linked to the HOLY ONE!
Our spirit, like HIS SPIRIT,
is pure. It knows right from wrong, and would always choose right, if in
control. Our assignment is to overcome the
leading of our flesh and mind and walk in the spirit! Don't get me wrong, the
mind and body are both gifts from our CREATOR,
and can be good when controlled by the spirit. The
flesh and mind that hurts us are when they are flesh and mind controlled by this
world's philosophy and system. We were born to a battle for control. Trust
JESUS! Allow HIS
work to be completed in you! Fulfill your mission here on earth and you will
truly see GOD! Got
