Isaiah,
Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Haggia, Malachi . . . . These were some mighty
powerful people. Who were they? Well, they are a few of the people GOD
chose to bear HIS word to the world in pre-JESUS
times.
Fred, Mark, Don, Kath, Harry, Sue,
Mary, Bob, Alan, Ashley . . . . . Who are they? Well, they are us!
OK, maybe your name is Tom or Jean, and you feel slighted by not being included in
the list above. Hey, I didn't mention Moses or David in the first list, and
they were very powerful and important people!
OK,
here we go. Say your name, out loud _________! If you are a follower of
the LORD JESUS,
you are in the second list. And how can I describe the second list?
Exactly the same as the first list! You are chosen by GOD
to bear HIS word to the world.
And
our task is easier than the old prophets, because we have it all written down.
In fact, it is written in our hearts! We are the ones who bear HIS
word to a tired and troubled world. Now wait! Stop! Don't
discount yourself. You have a role to play in this.
Maybe
your ministry will not eclipse that of Billy Graham. That's OK. The LORD
chose Mr. Graham for a purpose and you and me for a purpose. All we have to do
is walk it out!
That's right. Follow HIM
and walk the walk HE prepared for you before the
framing of the world.
And you will be
blessed beyond blessing and . . .. yes, persecuted. But be of good cheer
(be encouraged)
because you are in great company with Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel . . . . . .
. . .
