I could ask the darkness to hide me
and the
light around me to become night--
We
are continuing our study from Psalm 139, we will see the characteristics of our
relationship with JESUS.
You may be surprised and delighted to know how deeply it runs! JESUS
is the LORD of Light (part 1) While
I maintain that JESUS is not
"responsible" for everything that happens (i.e., doesn't cause it
directly), HE is LORD
over all things, despite their nature. For
example, HE is LORD
of all HIS followers, and HE
is LORD of those who choose not to
follow HIM. HE
is LORD of all! And
while HE is the GOD
of Light and does not authorize or cause things done in darkness, HE
is still the LORD. There
is physical darkness, which is the absence of light, and there is spiritual
darkness, which is the absence of Truth! Those hiding in darkness have not or
will not face the truth. People who do
not follow JESUS love the "darkness"
because it seems as though it covers their acts which defy the True and Living GOD.
But in reality. all things are laid open and bare to the eyes of the LORD. Running
and hiding from HIM is pointless. We can
choose now to face HIM and find that HE
is full of love and compassion, or we can hide and take a chance of facing eternity
without the saving grace that is offered so freely. Where
are you today? Hiding? Come out and face the Light and find that it is
full of the love and compassion of the ALMIGHTY GOD! Go
