Today's
E-Votion The
Relationship between JESUS and HIS People as seen in Psalm
139
Psalm 139 (New Living Translation)
20
They blaspheme you; your enemies take your
name in vain. We
are continuing our study from Psalm 139, we will see the characteristics of our
relationship with JESUS.
You may be surprised and delighted to know how deeply it runs! JESUS
will save even the wicked (part 2)! Some
of the best saints were some of the worst cursers! Not mentioning any names,
but . . . We all have a past that
is not usually something we like to mention. Thank GOD
for JESUS who loved us enough to die for us and
live again for us, even though we used to take HIS
Name (HIS Wonderful Name) and use it for all
sorts of non-useful purposes. Even
things like "jeepers creepers" and "judas priest" although they
seem innocuous, are still just "place holders" for the Name JESUS
CHRIST and are vain in nature. Back
to the wicked. The Parable of the Wheat and Tares told by JESUS
Himself tells us not to judge people we perceive as evil. My
standard disclaimer is that HE did not
intend us to live close to violent people, but we can hold them in forgiveness from
a distance. If you are being hurt by an
evil person, get away any way you can. Sometimes there are legal consequences
for their actions. This is not judging them. JESUS
does not intend you to suffer harm from an evil person. That
being said, evil or non-evil people are both the product of HIS
Creation. HE takes full responsibility.
Try this: The next time someone displays evil around you, get away from them,
forgive them, but most importantly, turn them over to the LORD! Then
see what happens! It will be good no matter which way it goes. Actually,
when we take the matter into our own hands, without praying and receiving HIS
guidance, I believe the LORD backs away, and the
results can be perilous at best. Dealing
with evil and wicked people requires thought, prayer and time. So,
remember, we see the outside, HE sees the inside
as well as the outside, and HE knows what the
final outcome will be. Who best can handle the situation, I ask you! Leave
evil people in the Best Hands, the nail proved Hands of JESUS,
the Invincible! Want a stronger
