and lead me along the path of everlasting life. Today
we are concluding our study from Psalm 139
JESUS is our Friend along
the way I hope you have profited from
our study of Psalm 139. David had a keen ability to foresee our relationship
with JESUS. One of the strongest points in
his walk with the LORD was the knowledge that GOD
always does good things in our life! David
understood that the relationship with the LORD
was a walk. It was then and still is now. Our salvation is not
"something we once did." It is a continual process like the growth
of a flowering plant. We are always in some stage of our growth. Many
times we fall into the myth that JESUS is angry
with us because of our actions. It is odd that we do so, since the power of HIS
Word stands strongly on the side of HIS
unconditional love for us. But as people, we tend to feel as though we are
great disappointments to HIM. The
LORD is with us on our walk. HE
will always point out things we do that are contrary to HIS
word. Sometimes these actions are easy to see, other times they are obscure
and we need HIS insight to help us overcome. Either
way, the LORD'S part is to gently guide us and
help us stay on track with HIS plan for us.
Sometimes it is a small corrections, sometimes HE
must "move heaven and earth" to get our attention. So
you see, we can be like David. We can trust that in all circumstances of life,
whether easy or extreme, JESUS is there with us
to see us through. After all, we belong to HIM! Do
