My
brethren,
count it
all
joy
when
ye fall
into divers
temptations; 3
Knowing
this, that
the trying
of your
faith
works
patience.
GospelSeek.com Patience:
The ability to stand strong no matter what hostile device is assaulting you (my
definition) This is my personal
definition of patience. Usually we think of patience as being passive
while things we want are taking their own sweet time to occur. But I say that
there is absolutely nothing passive about patience. The
patience the LORD is referring to through the
pen of James is a soldier-like stance. Picture a military person, completely
arrayed in body armor, standing strong, holding his ground, while the enemy attacks. With
that picture in mind, now look at yourself while going through trouble. Is
that a picture of you? It can be! The
LORD has won all possible battles, past -
present and future. HE is the Captain of
the army of Heaven. HE is our beloved
Leader. In HIS charge, there is no weapon
that the enemy has that can bring harm to us. Note:
We are not born (again) with patience. That is why the trying of our faith
works (builds) patience. As our faith is tested, we see that the LORD
JESUS is passing HIS
victory on to us, Through this life long process Biblical patience is worked
into us. So, don't be afraid when
trouble comes. Stand in the Name above all Names and watch the Glory of the LORD
pull you though (all the way through)! More
tomorrow. |
