Chapter 1 5
If
any
of you
lack
wisdom,
let him ask
of
God,
that gives
to all
men [and women] liberally,
and
upbraideth
not;
and
it shall be given
him. When
facing a trying situation, what do you need most. Well, there are probably
several things that come to mind, but the LORD
focuses us in this verse. When trouble
comes, your greatest asset is Wisdom. Yes, we can handle things our way, if we
are broke we can ask for money, sick - healing, sad - joy, angry - peace. But
why not do it HIS way? Broke,
sick, sad, angry . . . if we ask (and receive) wisdom from above, we will not
only stand, but we will prevail! And of course, prevailing is what we
want to be doing at all times. Life can
be very hard. Trouble comes to everyone on the face of the earth. Some
make it through, and some fail and fall. The difference is whether or not that
person conducts himself wisely through it all. More
