on the sin story. Lust is the mind committing treason. Sin is the
body committing lust. Get it. It starts in the mind and moves to the
body. Again I am not talking about sexual sin alone. All sin starts
in the mind and moves to the body. Lust
is a non-profitable desire for something of this world that draws us off the JESUS
Path. It could be of a sexual nature, it could be a car, or job, or
possession, or power, or revenge, or . . . Whatever
it is, if we can deal with it through the washing power of GOD'S Word
while it is still in the mind, we will never translate it into blatant sin. Did
you know the LORD
will help you to do this? Do you know the story about Joshua
choosing for himself and his family to serve the LORD?
The part of the story you don't hear about is that for him to have to make that
statement, he must have been under some very strong pressure to choose to serve
something else! Did
you ever think of it that way? I think the pressure was so strong, the
heavens were watching closely, and at the peak point where Joshua could not
stand it any more he burst out, ". . . As for me and my house, we will
serve the LORD!" It
probably saved his life to do so. The words of his mouth settled the
issue, the SPIRIT
moved in and rescued him, and he went on to fulfill his destiny as a Servant of
the MOST
HIGH
GOD! When
trouble comes and it gets so hard, make the right choice. As a Follower of
the JESUS
Path, you know what that right choice is. When the mental pressure is so
great to go off into sin, just shout it out, "I CHOOSE JESUS!"
and HE
will take it from there! A
