GospelSeek.com Basic
instructions for life. Do you find yourself usually swift to speak,
slow to hear (listen) and fairly swift to wrath? I think that is
common even among those of us who name the Name of CHRIST. So,
you can practice listening to others, not talking without thinking, and being
patient in, say, traffic. Good practice for a believer or a member of the do
good club. But it is not what the LORD
is after. I say this with extreme joy! The
LORD wants us to have a new heart. And
that heart will want to be swift to hear (really interested in
others), slow to speak (less self-centered) and slow to wrath (understanding the
trouble of the offender that causes the wrath). Sort
of like JESUS. No! Exactly like JESUS.
And yes, you have a heart that has been cleaned and is in righteous standing if you
trust in the saving work of JESUS, But . . . There
is more. The LORD wants to make a brand
new heart in you and I, and HE will do it if we
let HIM! It is a heart that loves at its
basis, breaks, rejoices, forgives, angers over injustice, understands the difficulty
of life in others, never betrays friends, and much more. Interested?
Well, it is not automatic. I have known many a stone-hearted believer.
Ask HIM to do this. Give HIM
your full cooperation. HE will complete
the course and your life will be transformed into the most gently-powerful life you
can imagine! If
you find this teaching useful, please hit "reply" and let us know! The
