Meaning of (this) Life Have
you ever wondered "what's it all about?" Let's take some time with
the
Word of GOD to see what He has to say about it! Matthew
Chapter 22:36-40
"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the
Law?" Jesus replied: "Love
the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This
is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: Love
your neighbor as yourself." What
a complicated and stress producing world in which we live. It is so easy to
lose track of what we are doing, where we are going and why we are even here.
Do you ever feel that way? I know it is a perplexing thought to look around at
world events and try to see just what it is that we are supposed to be doing. A
young man once came to JESUS and asked what is
the greatest commandment . . . I think what he meant is this . . .
"Why am I here? What is the point of it all." JESUS
answered in HIS usual fashion, straight to the
heart of the matter. The two most important actions we can take (what we are
to do in this life) are, simply put: 1.
Love GOD above all else. 2.
Love others as we love ourselves. So
starting tomorrow we will begin to look at loving GOD.
