Meaning of (this) Life Have
you ever wondered "what's it all about?" Let's take some time with
the
Word of GOD to see what He has to say about it! Purpose
#1
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all
your soul and with all your mind.
Purpose #2
Love
your neighbor as yourself.
Matthew 12:47-49 (New Living Translation)
Someone told Jesus,
"Your mother and your brothers are outside, and they want to speak to
you." Jesus asked, "Who is my mother? Who are my
brothers?" Then he pointed to his disciples and said, "These are my mother
and brothers. Today we are
looking at loving our neighbor as ourselves. In the above verse we find a
wonderful and somewhat strange thing. JESUS
our LORD taught everyone around HIM
at the time that HIS true family were the ones
who follow HIM. And as we will see
tomorrow, the same holds for us. Those of us who follow JESUS
are related to each other much like the natural relationship of the biological
family. Does that surprise you?
Does that offend you? Sorry if it does. It is HIS
truth. JESUS made us brothers and sisters.
And this is the case no matter the shape, size, color, nationality or any other
difference. If you have a close
relationship with a biological brother, sister, cousin, aunt, uncle . . . you
know there is a bond that runs very deep. There is not a thing that would be
too much to ask, we are concerned about the daily events of our relation's life, we
rejoice when we see them, and more. Remember,
we are studying the true Meaning of Life on this earth. We have seen that our
first purpose is to learn to love GOD above all.
Our second purpose is to learn how to love people the way HE
loves us. Easy? Sometimes, especially if we are loving a very loveable
person. But what about the un-lovable? Tune
in tomorrow!
