Do Not Surrender Your Hope!
(Editor's note: Hope, when referred to in the Word of GOD means something drastically different from the common language usage. It is a courageous, committed and consistent certainty that what has been Promised by CREATOR will indeed come to pass in our personal walk with HIM!

Sustain
me according to YOUR promise,
and I will live; do not let my hopes
be dashed.
Hope dashed! Not very happy thought, I know! But one that is relevant to our times, so let's proceed with caution.
If you are alive, you have had your hopes dashed. The picture of being "dashed" is like a shipwreck on the rocks of a reef near an island. The waves pound and the ship is gradually reduced to a collection of large and small timber. The timber floats to the island. Some pieces are carrying fortunate survivors to the shore.
Here is what I want you to see. The destruction wrought by the waves created the method by which you were saved, that is holding on to a bit of the ship until you reach the shore.
This is how it is with JESUS. Sometimes are hopes are dashed because they need dashing. You know, we have plans and HE has plans. Whose are best? Right, HIS! But we can be stubborn about our plans. We may build grandiose "ships" of the future as our hopes and dreams. Unfortunately, they are too big for us to "steer over the reef."
So they are dashed. But the story goes on. We ride a small piece of our dreams to safety. Then we can take other pieces and rebuild. Now our new ship of hope is smaller and better suited for the job of steering around the dangerous spots. We are back in action again.
Of course, the only way we lose is to give up. So never give up. Re-structure, Re-organizes and set sail again!
