CREATOR Is Faithful, HE is Worthy Of Our Hope!
(Editor's note: Hope, when referred to in the Word of GOD means something drastically different from the common language usage. It is a courageous, committed and consistent certainty that what has been Promised by CREATOR will indeed come to pass in our personal walk with HIM!
Job
13:15 Job
13 Job
13:14-16
Though HE
slay me, yet will I hope in HIM;
Oh do we ever need this Scripture! Today! Right here! Right now! I know I do! Just a few little words. But they are life-changing to the Follower of JESUS and devastating to the plans the enemy has against you!
Why?
2 Reasons:
#1 - Who said it - Job (pronounced Jobe, like Robe) was without question the most suffering man written about in the Bible with the exception only of JESUS Who took all the sins of the world upon HIMSELF.
Job had a right to say, "this stinks! I give up! I can't take this anymore!" He had lost everything except his wife who was telling him to "curse GOD and die." But when all the way down, covered with leprosy, antagonized by friends, he said these famous words above!
#2 - The conditional thinking in our lives - We are taught, raised and educated in most situations to lose hope. It is so easy to throw in the towel. We base our thinking on the conditions around us. This is not good!
You see, Hope brings victory. Everyone who is successful in this life is so because of hope! Every one who finally succeeds does so after a string of failures. It only takes stopping at one failure to bring down the course of a life. How close many have been to success when they gave up and stopped trying!
Job
was convinced that CREATOR was
worth hoping in even if his
senses told him otherwise. If you read the end of the Book of Job you see that he
was healed of leprosy, had his flocks and family restored double, and lived a long and
happy life! And it was all because he never gave up hope!
If you find yourself in dire circumstances, remember Job's example!
