Accept Your Double Portion And Everlasting 'JOY' Will Be Yours!

"Instead of their shame MY people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and Everlasting 'JOY' will be theirs."  Isaiah 61:7

Today, being Monday, the first busy day of your week, we pray that you get your 'JOY' ON and praise the LORD with us, the whole week long!

The LORD'S people had know oppression from their enemies for many years.  In fact their dreams and desires to live as free people had all but been forgotten and untold sorrows had taken their place.  Who could understand such torment, such loss of freedom and the ability to make any daily choices on your own no matter how small.  Being slaves, and another man's property they had lost the ability to have any self interests.  The people of GOD were the ones being bought and sold as if they were animals or land, their dreams were dying, the will to live and go on was fading in their suffering.

Did you catch that?  The people of GOD, we are talking about the people of GOD, sold into slavery by their own sins.  It was their decision to not only stop sinning, but also, to refuse the love and forgiveness of their CREATOR no matter how often HE made the offer for them to return to HIM.  

The costs and results of their sin was crushing and beyond the ability to put into words. And yet, GOD IS LOVE!  HE forgave HIS people their backsliding and set them free from their enemies, and that was not all ...... HE said; "Instead of their shame MY people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land.."

The LORD is waiting for you to look to HIM to set you free from your enemies, no matter their name, no matter how they came into your life.  Please do not make the mistake and say; "Oh, that may be true for those 'poor', 'poor' souls that live in terrible situations, but not for me."  The truth is that this Scripture is speaking to you as well, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of GOD, and yes there is forgiveness for your sins when you confess them to JESUS, and yes there are also consequences to your sins that often can linger in your life.

The LORD is ready, HE is ready to deliver you into freedom from your enemies, HE is ready now.  Are you ready right now to be free?  HE said;   "Instead of their shame MY people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land.."  Today and everyday, live your life in the 'JOY' of the LORD!
