Saturday Wrap #178

The Banner Man

You know who the banner man is, he's the one that leads the parade. He's the one that carry's the colors. He's the leader of the parade and everyone who follows behind him is associated with the banner that he carry's.

Of course, Jesus is our banner man and there is no greater banner than the one that He carry's, for it proclaims that all who follow in this parade will have everlasting life. And the whole world lines the streets to watch as our parade marches through their town.

And the onlookers cheer and wave and shout. Some join the great parade and become a part of the eternal celebration while others are frightened by what they see and run away or throw stones but their stones don't reach those in the parade, for they are protected by the banner.

And behind the banner which glows like a rainbow too bright to see, are all the angels and archangels and all the saints. There are grand robes and there are rags and sack cloth, there are rich and poor, black and white, saints and sinners and they all join together as equals in their celebration of the Joy of the Lord. They are unified one with the other by the Banner Man.

And the Banner Man beckons the onlookers to join in the parade, and those who are a part of the parade do likewise; and behind the great banner are many smaller banners because everyone wants to be as good as they can ... like the Banner Man.

And among the parade is a great band and the music is a celebration of love and hope and victory and the onlookers clap their hands and stomp their feet in time with the music and shouts go up of, "Glory, glory, glory. Listen to the band" and "Hallelujah"

And just when you think you're so exhausted that you couldn't march another step the Banner Man raises His banner even higher than before and a million voices respond in unison, "Amen, amen" and the parade marches on and on behind The Banner Man
