Psalm 23

Continuing in the promises, prayers and predictions connected to the twenty-third Psalm.

Verse 3: Prayer and Promise.

He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

He restoreth my soul. It is good to know that our Lord is always ready to restore, heal, mend, repair and strengthen our souls. He knows that we are not like Him (godlike) and so it is expected that such restoration will be necessary from time to time. He is a forgiving God and a healing God.

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

As Prayer:
We see this again in Psalm 5:8, "Lead me, O Lord, in Thy righteousness because of my enemies; make Thy way straight before my face." and Psalm 31:3, "For Thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore, for Thy name's sake, lead me and guide me." 

God's Promise:
and again in Proverbs 8:20, "I lead in the way of righteousness in the midst of the paths of justice."

Do you feel lead in the paths of righteousness or is your life filled with confusion and emotional clutter. You can not feel both at the same time. Ask for peace and that He take you there....for His name's sake.

Let the Lord guide you and be your shepherd.
