Saturday Wrap #211

Let's take a trip though the PraiseNation week of Evotions to see if there is some underlying guidance that might help us through our daily routines.

The week started with Bible Promises...so many blessings for each day. I have chosen Tuesdays promise to set us rolling...

"I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of GOD for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile." Romans 1:16

Don't hang your head when you have to declare (by word or action) that you are a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. How can you be ashamed when talking about 'the Power of God'. Remember that word, 'Power'

We see in this weeks MondayJoy (Warriorforjesus, Pastor Mark),

Paul always preached the one true gospel of CHRIST everywhere he went:

1 Corinthians 15:1-4

1.  JESUS CHRIST died for our sins.
2.
JESUS CHRIST was buried.
3.  JESUS CHRIST rose again on the third day.

That's great, if you believe and understand this most fundamental group of statements then you'll already know that all things are possible through our Lord.

In Tuesday's Evotion (PraiseWarrior, brother Fred), we learn that,

"When trouble comes, your greatest asset is Wisdom".

That word, 'Wisdom', is music to my ears and nectar to my soul. O, to be blessed with His wisdom.
Did you know, wisdom gets you anything. Yes, ANYTHING! When I was a very young child, in my sweet innocence I prayed, "
Dear Jesus, I really do need a bike. Please get me a bike" .... of course, I didn't get my bike and nor will you get that home or car that you constantly ask for. Jesus is not an estate agent or a car dealership. Perhaps you would have more success if you asked Him for the 'wisdom' to get your new home or car. It works every time. EVERY TIME. I shall qualify that last statement with this from Tuesdays Evotion,

"When you ask the LORD for wisdom are you sure you will get what you ask for?  Well, in our verses today, the HOLY SPIRIT through James is letting us know something.  HE is telling us that we can be totally confident that we will receive the wisdom we ask for.

So it goes like this:

  1. We have a need

  2. We ask, not so much for the need but for the wisdom

  3. We can have confidence that we will receive that wisdom

  4. The wisdom from GOD will meet our need in remarkable ways!"

You may think that your prayer was answered but not in the way you specifically wanted. Let me tell you, if your prayer is answered, in whatever way, it WILL turn out to be more than you asked for. Please also note from 3 above, the word 'confidence'. Confidence is a strength granted to us through the 'power' of God.

On Thursday, brother Fred reminded us that,

"We have been looking at being patient in the Biblical meaning, which is more like being powerful in GOD'S way"

(there's that word again, power) and that,

"There is constant pressure on all of us to doubt the LORD"

This 'doubt' comes, of course, from the enemy and this is the time to say,

"No! JESUS I  choose YOU!"

In Thursday Night Teens, Brother Matthew reminds us,

"Be sure to fear the LORD and serve Him faithfully
with all your heart; consider what great things
He
has done for you."
1 Samuel 12:24

"Faithfully with all of your heart"

Then in our new, "Open Heart Women's Ministry (Welcome Sister Deborah) we learn,

Matthew 6:21:
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
