the LORD said, "I
will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I
will proclaim MY Name, the LORD,
in your presence. I will have
mercy on whom I will have
mercy, and I will have
compassion on whom I will
have compassion." Exodus

MONDAY
JOY Rejoice In
Your Maker, And Be Glad In
Your King! ------- "Let
Israel rejoice
in their Maker;
let the people of Zion be glad
in their King.
Let them praise HIS
Name with dancing and make music to HIM
with tambourine and harp." Psalms
149:2-3 The
false gods and idols of this world oppress those who worship them with fear of
eternal punishment for a single disobedience. On the other hand, GOD
ALMIGHTY brings the gifts of forgiveness of sins and HIS
'JOY' into the world. Followers
of JESUS do not have to be forced to rejoice
in HIM
anymore then a five year old child has to be threatened in order to enjoy
an ice cream cone on a hot Summer day. J Break
out your voice, dancing shoes, flute, drum, guitar, tambourine and harp, and get
your 'JOY' ON as you praise your Maker
and King, expressing
your 'JOY' in
HIM. Psalms

TUESDAY'S
5MP Patience: The
ability to stand strong no matter what hostile device is assaulting you (my
definition) James 1:20
For
the wrath
of man
works
not
the righteousness
of God. Have
you ever heard the saying, "If you're going to talk the talk, you'd better walk
the walk?" Common saying in the USA. JESUS
takes it one step (one Giant step) farther in our passage today. We
live by the Law of Liberty. What a beautiful thing that is! To live in a
time whereby accepting JESUS as SAVIOR
and LORD we are free from a dead service to GOD
and released to the adventure of following HIS SPIRIT. Here
is a promise . . . Not from me, but from HIM.
When we are presented with a situation and we know the right way and
then choose to walk the right way, we are blessed! |
WEDNESDAY'S
5MP Patience: The
ability to stand strong no matter what hostile device is assaulting you (my
definition) James Chapter 1 21
Wherefore
lay apart
all
filthiness
and
superfluity
of naughtiness,
and receive
with
meekness
the engrafted
word,
which
is able
to save
your
souls. Words
are important. HIS Word is Very Important.
So are our words. But there is a facet to our speaking that is vital to
understand I
recently embarked (not fully my choice) on a time of drawing closer to my LORD.
I mean by "not fully my choice" that I love the easy life and don't
ordinarily choose hard times. So
I said . . . . "LORD, I draw closer to you.
Now your Word says when I do that YOU will draw
closer to me!" The actual Scripture I was "helping the LORD
remember" is: But
if I want to live a real life with JESUS (and I
do), I am going to have to walk my talk. Good news, though. So are you!
I am glad that I have company. We start with our words, but the LORD
takes up the challenge from there and walks us through the difficult times that
bring us to a fuller and more joyful relationship with HIM! Don't
be afraid. HE always completes the job |
THURSDAY'S
5MP Patience: The
ability to stand strong no matter what hostile device is assaulting you (my
definition) James Chapter 1 22
But
be ye
doers
of the word,
and
not
hearers
only,
deceiving
your own selves. 23
For
if any
be
a hearer
of the word,
and
not
a doer,
he
is like
unto a man
beholding
his
natural
face
in
a glass: 24
For
he beholds
himself,
and
goes his way,
and
straightway
forgets
what manner of man
he was. Today
is the final day of a very long series on Patience from the first chapter of James.
Tune in next Tuesday for our new series, "The Meaning of (this)
Life." Bet you have wondered, yes? Well,
back to the here and now. Did the SPIRIT
mean that all Christians should work in orphanages and nursing facilities? I
don't think so. Thank GOD for those who
do, but this concept is broader in scope. We
have learned that we should be joyful in trial, honest to ourselves, honest to the LORD
and doers of the Word. One more principle on how to be strong through tough
times. There
are two facets to this diamond: 1.
Compassion toward those in need 2.
Keeping the slime from this world on the outside. Secondly,
we are assaulted daily by the world system and all its hatred of GOD
and Godliness. We will not be perfect, we will give in to temptation on
occasion, but we must apply the armor of GOD
(found in Ephesians 6) to ourselves to keep this world's influence from sinking in
to the heart and trying to "push" JESUS
off the throne of our lives. This
is our task in life. Do it and you can be sure that you will have the strength
to face whatever comes your way! |
T.N.T. "He
will cover you with His feathers, and under His
wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness
will be your shield and rampart." Psalms 91:4 I
can sum this up for you in one word, FORTRESS. GOD
is our fort to fall back on when there is nowhere left for us to turn. It is
because of His faithfulness
to us that He is always going to be there to hide us in
the shadow of His wings. As a shield hides us
from any damage our enemy tries to throw our way, He is
always there to keep it from slamming us in the face. If it were up to the
devil we would never get a break from the barrage that is always headed our way. |
OPEN
HEART WOMEN'S MINISTRY
James
1:2,3 “Consider it pure joy,
my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the
testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work
so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” Sometimes
it is very difficult to be joyful
or thankful in the midst of a trial. A trial can be going through a
circumstance or situation that is outside of the normal of your life. It can
be as small as having a “bad” day at work to being as great as the impending
death of someone close to you. Regardless
of the circumstance or situation you find yourself in, GOD
is with you. GOD
wants our heart to be mature.
While going through our personal trials we need to be open
to reach beyond our pain and minister to others who are also suffering that our
heart may become mature.
Learn to let go of the "me" and persevere in order that your
heart will open to GOD
in the midst of your trial.
