11Put on God's whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.

"AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!  I just can't take anymore!"  

Are you there?  Well, these times come when it seems like one more pebble in our back-pack and we will fall through the face of the earth.

We all get there now and then.  And I will tell you the truth, it is possible in these times to miss the greatest opportunities the LORD has for you.  I know this because it seems that these attacks come just before the greatest blessings!

So, what to do?  Stand!  Arm yourself!  and Fight!

We talked last week about standing, now we shall consider the armor.  Not just any armor, but GOD'S own armor.  Wouldn't you love to be dressed in that array?  Not the armor of a weak individual, but that of the most Powerful being in this universe.

That is what HE offers you.  This armor is designed specifically to fight off deception and strategies (deceptive strategies, see the verse above).

So, really what you are being attacked with and fighting against are lies!  You may think that is better than rocks, arrows, bullets, etc.  But, let me assure you, deception is just as dangerous.

Here are some examples of the enemy's deceptive attacks:

GOD doesn't really care about you.

You are not worthy.

The Bible is not perfectly true.

JESUS is not the only way to be saved.

You can't be saved because your sin is too bad.

I will counter all these objections to the Grace of GOD with one mighty passage:

Romans 8

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You see, the success of all the things that come against us in our lives is predicated on convincing us that GOD will not save us from them.  

So today, be strong in the LORD, in HIS mighty power and begin to arm yourself against the deception that has attacked your Peace
